Places we love to eat in Ptown.

We enjoy going out for dinner while in Provincetown.
Ptown has some wonderful restaurants and it's always the
question of the day, as to where we are going to eat that night.
Everyone will have their favourites and here are ours.
Click on the name of each restaurant to have a look
at their own websites.
The Mews We ate here twice this year and our favorite dish is

Beam on down to Ptown

As you know from a previous post, I am a Star Trek
fan and thought the new movie was fantastic.
So I thought it would be fun, while on holiday to buy a
Mr Spock figure and take some pictures of him in a few
locations.

Monument in the mist

As we mentioned in a previous post the weather was not
too good during our recent visit to Provincetown. Sometimes
we were unable to see the Pilgrim Monument due to mist.

The Monument was built between 1907 and 1910 to
commemorate the first landfall of the Pilgrims in 1620
and the signing in Provincetown harbour
of the Mayflower Compact.

Ptown in bloom

The people of Provincetown love their gardens, and early
Summer is a great time to visit, and see them in full bloom.

We saw lots of these flowering trees on The Cape ( if anyone knows
what its called, please leave a comment )

Tales from Provincetown

As I mentioned on Friday we have just returned from holiday on
Cape Cod. We stayed with our good friends Stephen and Trevor at
The Oxford in Provincetown. We always have wonderful time filled
with love and laughter, and each year it gets harder to leave special
friends and a very special place. Unfortunately this year we were
unlucky with the weather, in fact the Cape has seen only 3 days of
sun this June. However the weather did not spoil our enjoyment
and we made the most of our time on the Cape.

We always pick up a hire car in Boston and make the drive down
to Provincetown, part of the holiday. We feel we have arrived when
we reach the rotary at Orleans. We had a problem with the first car
and had to turn back, due to the inconvenience we were upgraded
to this rather swish Volvo convertable that David fell in love with and
wanted to bring home.
We will be blogging more about our time in Provincetown over
the next few days, but here are some more pictures for starters.
